Merrill & Houston’s Steak Joint is pleased to announce a donation of $1,900 to the Humane Society of Southern Wisconsin. The funds were raised through ticket sales from this year’s Beefsteak Dinner event in September.
The Merrill & Houston’s team recently presented the $1,900 check to the Humane Society, joined by Bentley, an adoptable dog currently awaiting a forever home. These funds will go directly toward the Humane Society’s mission of helping animals like Bentley find loving families and safe, permanent homes.
“We love giving back to the community and the Beefsteak Dinner is a fun way we can do that,” said James Hanssen, Assistant General Manager, Merrill & Houston’s Steak Joint. “It’s a celebration that lets us connect with our guests while also supporting a great cause.”
A throwback to a bygone era of culinary tradition, the Beefsteak Dinner is a unique experience where diners don aprons and chef hats, forgo utensils, and enjoy an all-you-can-eat feast of expertly prepared steak. The meal was accompanied by New Glarus beers, select wines, and the smooth sounds of the Stateline Jazz Trio, creating an atmosphere that was as lively as it was nostalgic.
With ticket proceeds supporting the Humane Society, the event combined food, fun and purpose, embodying Merrill & Houston’s commitment to community involvement. The team looks forward to welcoming even more guests to next year’s event to help support this great cause.
