If you’ve never been to a Beefsteak Dinner before, you’re in for a big treat, and maybe just a little surprise. This is not a typical, quiet sit-down dinner with fancy silverware and in your best dress, this is something in its own category.

At Merrill & Houston’s, the Beefsteak Dinner is about tradition, laughter and as much steak (and beer) as you can think of shared among friends. Here’s a guide on how to be totally prepared for one of the liveliest nights of the year:

1. Come With a Huge Appetite

This is rule number one. A Beefsteak Dinner is an all-you-can-eat steak feast, and our chefs don’t hold back. Come hungry, but pace yourself, the steak does not stop coming.

2. Forget the Forks

At a true Beefsteak Dinner, tradition calls for eating with your hands, and don’t worry, you won’t be alone, everyone’s in on the fun. It’s messy, it’s lively and it’s all part of an authentic experience. Aprons will be worn, but let go, have fun and don’t stress the mess.

3. Wear Something Comfortable

This isn’t a black-tie affair, it’s definitely not the event you want to wear your favorite white shirt to but where you’ll want to be in comfortable (and roomy) clothes. We’ll provide the aprons and butcher hats, just to fully complete the look.

4.Bring Your Friends

The Beefsteak Dinner is as much about the people as it is about the food. It’s a loud, social night full of camaraderie. So, grab your friends, coworkers or family to share in the tradition all together.

5. Be Ready to Celebrate

Between the endless steak, flowing beer and wine, live music and a room full of energy, you’ll quickly see why this event is a Merrill & Houston’s favorite. It’s a night like no other that you’re now fully prepared for.

This year’s Beefsteak Dinner takes place Saturday, October 25th at 6 PM. Tickets are limited, so grab yours today and get ready to join in the tradition.
